Q. What is Buggy Beat?
A. Buggybeat is an outdoor cross training class suited to people who want to improve their fitness and work around their little ones too. Whether You’re a grandparents, mum, dad, child minder etc if you’re looking after children and want to enjoy the outdoors, enjoy social time with your children and other like minded new parents/carers etc while you train, then Buggy Beat is the class for you. No matter where you are at in your fitness journey and most importantly post-natally, all exercises in the class are safe to perform, and can be adjusted to suit your fitness level.
Q. How do I start?
A. Buggy Beat is a 45 minute outdoor exercise session for all fitness levels especially new Mums, who are 6 weeks post birth or 12 weeks post caesarean section. New mums must have had a 6/8 week check with a GP and go-ahead to exercise.
You will then need to fill in a Participant readiness questionnaire (PAR-Q) before the first session/taster session - FILL IN Pre/Post natal PARQ
If you are not a new mum, then please contact me for a different form.
Q.What equipment do I need?
A. Just bring your yourselves, buggy, your little person and their essentials. A yoga matt to work on or to pop your little one on if needed. You’ll also need to bring a bottle of water to keep you hydrated.
Q.what is included in the class?
A. The class is a varied one with cardio, toning and stretching and is with Emily who's trained as a pre and post natal exercise specialist. includes some of the following:
Mobility - Always to start, a mobility section with a walk
Warm up/strength - main warmup will include:
Could be a circuit or an exercise to music style section
Strength - with and without equipment will include some weights/ bands/ towel/ ball
some fun games
stretch and cool down - with a stretch and a walk
Breathwork - If there is time and the little ones are asleep etc
Q. How much is the class
A. The class is £6.50 a session - pay as you go. First session is free.
