  • Weights - you can use a tin of beans etc to start with.

  • Exercise bands - a towel can also be used to begin with.

Q. What is included in the class?

A. The class is made up of several different components of exercise.

  • Mobility - Slow movements where you can assess how your body, joints and back are feeling and cooperating that day. It also prepares you for exercise.

  • Warm up - This is a longer graduated and more moderate to vigorous period of activity to get the blood moving around the body. This part of the class will include aerobic stamina movement which also includes some life related exercise that relevant for every day use. This also includes some fun challenges that work your mind as well as your body.

  • Strength - These exercises are for overall muscle strength using weights and exercise bands. The focus for this section is to improve and maintain core strength and stability. There is also a focus on improving leg strength - hip and knee stability, strengthen arms as well as work on balance and overall posture.

  • Stretch and Breathe - Stretch and Breathe acts as a short cool down and includes stretching exercises for all major muscle groups. The exercises performed in this final section help to maintain suppleness and flexibility on the joints and muscles. Music is used to guide us into a state of mindful relaxation.
